System hardening

A database is only as secure as the system it runs on. We harden servers systematically, following recognised guidance — not "disable SELinux and move on".

Tuning

Tuning the OS for database workloads

The difference between an "installed" and a "tuned" server shows up in latencies and in the hardware bill. We configure the system around the database's real workload profile.
